I raised my calorie budget to the next step and that put it at about 1k daily. I don't know....I guess I just figured that 1k is reasonable for me now. It's only about 40 calories more and half the time I'm ending up in the 1,000's anyways. My scale is pretty messed up so my weight kept going up and down and I don't know if it was me or the scale. I'm still happy to be maintaining in my goal range of 112-116. So far I've not gone above 114 since I reached that original goal weight back in February. Once I hit 114 I switched it down to 112 because I was freaking out and needed that extra buffer. When I start to get close to 114 it's my trigger to get with the program and things don't get too out of hand. 4 months of maintenance! It was weird at first because I'm so used to driving to lose all the time. I had to get used to being ok with going up a pound and sitting there for a while. I still get that lose weight rush though when I get close to 114 and have to try to get back down. It was so scary at first but it's gotten better now that I know I CAN do it.
Yesterday hubby insisted I do the P90 Ab work out with him so I did. It's hard but quick which I like. I plugged in what my app suggested so that was 94 calories in 15 minutes. Probably not accurate but oh well. Then, it was breakfast for dinner. I knew it was coming so I already had everything in my phone app to add in and I did really well at work only eating 275 cals during the day so I had room for the 661 calorie meal that was to come. It sure didn't feel like that many calories because I didn't feel full. Just satisfied. I've eaten less calories then that and been stuffed but that's probably because of the actual content of the food. None of it was real heavy and the portions were small. We had left over roasted potatoes and steak scrambled with eggs. I had 1/4 cup egg beaters. Along with 2 four inch pancakes using the Cracker Barrel Pancake mix. I used about 1/4 cup of Mrs. Butterworth's Sugar free Syrup. It was really good!! I had 1 cookie as a snack and finished the day at 1,006 calories. I sat on the couch and watched an episode of House Hunters without feeling the need to be stuffing something in my mouth the whole time which is huge for me. My resentment of eating "real" meals has faded and I'm doing OK with it for the moment. It means less snacking and that is probably a good thing because when I snack it's hard for me to stop and I don't get the nutritional value that I need.
Today hubby is going out to dinner with friends and I will be having left over sloppy Joe's on a hot dog bun. Pretty light. He's been on my case about my eating lately for some reason. I have some food events coming up. Saturday will be Pizza on our date night. Next Thursday will be happy hour with a friend and then that Saturday I'll be going up to my sister's then Sunday is Father's day. I find that my best defense for feeling anxious and stressed out about these situations is planning ahead. Obviously, I eat as little as possible until the food event. If it's an evening event that's much harder to do. Also, figuring out the calories of what I might want to eat ahead of time helps. I've already done research on restaurant pizza and I've got it entered in my app so I know exactly what I'm in for on Saturday. Even if the numbers are ghastly knowing it in advance makes me feel at least a little bit in control and somehow helps me to feel better. Control freak much?
