Cleaning my house wore me out today. It was the first thing I did when I woke up. Our house is about 1800 square feet with 3 bedrooms, a loft and 2 1/2 bathrooms. I blasted my i tunes and got going. Usually once I get started I'm good but today it just all around sucked. I've slacked off and haven't done a good cleaning in a while so I had to do everything. It takes me so long for some reason. I'm always glad to have a nice clean house at the end to enjoy but sometimes the process is pretty miserable and long. I was thinking I'd do errands afterward but I took a shower and then lost all my energy. My body felt so fatigued. I took a nap instead. According to my app I burned 297 calories. I don't really count it as exercise but I added it anyways just for the hell of it. I did spend almost 3 hours on it. I still have some laundry and trash to do-tomorrow. I'll enjoy having a perfectly uncluttered house until my hubby aka the tornado comes home to clutter it up.

Trying to keep my calories on the lower end also wore me out. Sitting on the couch watching TV makes me want to eat. I started the day by plugging in what I could eat into my app. I wanted to give myself a guideline to keep me on track. It pretty much worked. I am determined to have at least two more decent calorie days to close out the week and try to get out of the 113's. Again. I had a great time with my mom yesterday but we did El Pollo Loco instead of Subway because she had coupons so my calories were higher then I 'd intended. What else is new. The only thing saving me from feeling totally awful about it is that it was all healthy.
I watched Morning Glory and it was such a cute good movie. For some reason I found myself in tears at the end. The main character always had a dream of being a producer on The Today show and she did get a job offer from them finally but didn't take it. She had just totally turned around a morning show that was tanking and decided to stay with them. Why the tears? Well, she had a dream and she was so good and talented at what she did. She went after her dreams and I always find that so awesome and inspiring. Her life came together so nicely in the end. The boy, the job, the NYC life. I guess it reminded me that I too had a dream once. Most of the time I'm able to forget that. I accept what is and I'm happy with what I've got but I have my moments when I think whimsically about those days when I was chasing my dream. Well, I'm going to finish out this day watching HGTV. Exciting. I wanted to not do anything and I sure as heck didn't. I've been in the house all day. Hubby comes home tomorrow.
I got a chance to take some body shots. I'll put 'em up on my next post.
What was your dream? Modeling? I know you mention it once in a while. Was there something else you wanted to do?
ReplyDeleteWhy is it too late to keep working toward it? (I know it perfectly well could be - not trying to be all rah-rah "anything is possible" - I know some stuff just doesn't work out.)
I love the new layout! Or fonts, more like. Mmmm I love cleaning, it's such a lovely ritual that I find soooo relaxing. Not relaxing physically (yay calorie burn) but mentally, just having all that clutter and dirt gone from my mind's eye. Good to hear you liked Morning Glory (it's been on my list), I'll watch it soon! My dream is to be a tv or movie producer, so maybe I can learn some things from it! RaeLynn
