The Numbers, Mar 7-13

112.8 lbs

I'm sort of dreading the gym.  I'm so tired and I don't feel like going but I will be good and do it anyways.  I plan to do the elliptical and be in and out in about 35 minutes.  I need to get my metabolism revved up if I want to get to the lower end of 112's again.  I indulged and had peanut butter on my toast this morning instead of jelly since I knew I'd be going.  I am so obsessed with tracking calories.  I can spend hours going over my foods and checking the calories against other data bases etc.  This tracking cals on my phone business has truly created a monster...well even more of one then I was before.

There is yet another show on food addiction coming out this month called Addicted to Food.  I was watching Heavy last night.  This lady and her husband ate waffles, pizza AND cereal for breakfast.  That is crazy!  She ended up losing 166 lbs in 6 months which is great.  I think these shows are good because it's showing that weight loss requires hard work, diet and exercise.  Nothing more.  Watching these morbidly obese people sweat it out at the gym shows that it's possible without surgery and that there is no magic pill.  It shows obese people are capable of working out-some of them end up in better work out shape then I am.  It's possible.  You just have to get off your butt and get out of the cookie section in the grocery store and do it.

There are times when I want to go hog wild and just be able to eat whatever, whenever.  I want candy and an entire bag of full fat potato chips to myself.  I want to eat 2,000 calories if I feel like it.  I just want to shove ridiculous amounts of yummy pizza and casadillas and hamburgers in my mouth and not stop until I'm good and ready.  Then there are other times when I think rationally and realize that my stomach can't comfortably hold all of that food anyways and two pieces-three max-is truly enough to feel satisfied so there is no need to desire a giant pizza binge in the first place.  I do allow myself to indulge on those full fat chips now and then at random parties.  I eat candy too.  In some semblance of moderation of course.  I want need to be skinny.  Restriction and limits on food is the sacrifice I make.

  1. Sometimes I am also thinking the same. I wish that I could just eat everything and in whatever amounts and not gain. I wish that, but no matter how many times I do that it always feels horrible. It feels way more horrible then not to have anything at all. it is probably the mindset thing again.

And I understand you about the shows. I'm going through whatever "Biggest Loser" episodes I can lay my hands on.

  2. Good that you're still going to the gym. Normally when I can't be bothered I try and go anyway, then the first 20 mins feels like hell and it will never end but after that I kinda get into it and get through it easily :) Good luck x

  3. You are the only inspiration I've come across as far as maintaining goes. I like it when you post your numbers; it gives me home. I hope when I'm at my UGW I will be able to have 900-1100 cals and be able to keep it up as well as you do. Much respect<333
