So, I finally remembered to take pics of everything I ate for a day!! All pics are yesterday's intake and I had the same thing on Monday. Now that I have this iphone it's awesome. It actually takes decent enough pics and I can post them here so much easier. Yesterday I did go #2 which was awesome.

After work I went straight to the gym and didn't hate it which is awesome too. It wasn't meant to be a sweat fest. I just did 35 Minutes of the elliptical for 250 cals and did my stretching, crunches, and the pull up machine. My splits were so much easier to get into. My flexibility is coming back and I'm so happy about that. I was in and out in about an hour. It wasn't a 500 calorie burn but I was active. I worked my joints, misted a little (not sweat really), and I worked my muscles. My goal for now is 2X per week doing SOMETHING!! I'd like to do gym one time per week + something else but any combo will do. Walking, exercise video, whatever. Just DO something. I won't even begin to try to plan for 4-5 days a week at this point. I'll start out slow so it's manageable for me.
| Snack: Fiber 1, Yogurt-110 |
I got home and ate the other 1/2 of yesterday's sandwich. I literally had about 14 pretzels with it just to get that munchy action going that I like. I got home at around 6:50am, took a shower, watched Bridalpasty while I ate dinner, blogged, had sex with my husband (8 calories!! LOL), took a 2nd shower and went to bed. It is hard getting home later after the gym but it feels more possible now. That week of going to the gym while I was on Winter break was just the kick start I needed to get back into it. Total cals for the day=835. I want to increase my protein so so I want to focus on one that I think I can reasonably work into my diet regularly. Kind of like how I've focused on the Fiber 1 for fiber. Ideally something for breakfast that's easy to do at work and not too pricey. When I run out of pop tarts I don't plan on getting anymore and I want to replace them with protein. The high protein, low carb options are eggs which is good for breakfast and meat which is not. A hard boiled egg would be good, but then I'd blow it by wanting toast!! Hmm...I could compromise with 1 piece of toast w/jelly 'cause I know I'd want coffee and that would be about 200 cals.
| Dinner: Subway Club w/Cheese, Pretzels-400 cals |
I went #2 when I woke up this morning. Two days in a row!! Perhaps the Fiber 1 is doing the trick. I hope so. I'm back to 118 on the main scale and the 2nd scale said the same as it did yesterday (118). I've been messing around all morning so I should probably get to work.
Totally random but I abused laxatives when I was a but younger and it totally messed up my digestive system right. And honestly it took like a year but I would either eat a fiber 1+ bar or low cal raisin oatmeal for breakfast and it did the trick and helped me lose some weight cuz then your not running around all bloated and constipated! :)
ReplyDeleteI used to do plain Greek yogurt (sweetened with just a little splenda 'cause I can't stand unsweetened Greek yogurt) for breakfast with half a crumbled larabar or a few nuts on top. Yummy and loads of protein. Plus, it's easy to take to work.
ReplyDeleteOr, oatmeal and a boiled egg?
Or, don't know if you've ever had Kashi Go-Lean Original. It's 140 cals, 13g protein and 10g fiber per serving.
Or, you could make protein pancakes the night before and just warm them up at work.
-1/2 cup oatmeal
-1/2 cup cottage cheese
-3 egg whites
-1/2 T. vanilla extract
-1/2 T. cinnamon
-3/4 T. splenda or sweetener
Mix everything in a blender and cook in a nonstick pan. If the cals are too high, you could always tweak it to suit you.
Anyway, just some suggestions.
Ooooh, OR! (lol) have you ever had Ezekiel bread? It's sprouted grain bread, stored in the freezer section of the grocery. SUPER good for you. Not that high in protein (only 3 g), but you could have it with 2 or 3 boiled egg whites. I LOVE the cinnamon-raisin flavor, toasted with sugar-free blackberry jam. Mmmm...
ReplyDeleteI've also done a kind of French toast with this bread, though not sure how portable it would be. I mixed up a couple egg whites, 1/4 cup almond milk some splenda, vanilla and cinnamon, then let the bread soak in it for awhile (a bit longer than regular bread because it's really dense). Then, just fry in a pan like normal french toast. Soooo yummy, at least in my opinion. Plus, the egg whites give you a good source of protein.
Okay... shutting up now.
Great job on your workouts...gotta start somewhere! I'm obsessed with 100 calorie popcorn bags for fiber! I spray "I Can't Beleive It's Not Butter" (O cals) on the popcorn and eat it piece by piece and it feels like I just had a real treat when it was actually only 100 cals!
ReplyDeleteOH yes, the fiber ones...haha my love for them never ever ever ends.
ReplyDeleteI've been hooked for almost, well, ...all the time spent in this country.
I like the pic concept, it's pretty nifty!
Take care and be the best, thanks for comments by the way, I really needed it. >D
a hard boiled egg is my go-to restriction breakfast. Full of protein and very filling! I've heard that photographing your food, in addition to writing it down, is very beneficial. haha it seems to be working for you; all of it looks so healthy and delicious! <3RaeLynn
