I obviously don't do very well when it comes to free food.  There is something inside of me that makes me want to hoard it.  Take it home.  I'm saving money.  It's a meal I didn't pay for.  There is that saver in me that wants to maximize anything and everything.  It's like I just can't pass it up and then when I bring it home I can't let it go to waste.  That's with any food free or not.  The Ice cream and pizza yesterday were free here at work.  I did the ice cream in lieu of other snacks and instead of eating the free pizza at work I took three slices home.  I ate the two small ones for dinner and hubby had the 3rd which was big.

My biggest problems are food given to me and social events involving food.  If it's there I want to take advantage of it.  It's free, it's tasty so I'll eat it.  I really think I've gotten a lot better with eating out so that's something at least.  I'm mainly focusing on maintaining right now which I have.  I can usually maintain 117.5 (when my body is not freaking out on me that is) but maintaining at 116.5 and below was only going to happen with more effort on my part which I have not put forth.  My honeymoon starts this Saturday so I just sort of figured to hell with it for now.  I'm surely gaining then.  I'll put some work in when I get back.  I will undoubtedly be extremely motivated after stepping on the scale.  Which I will do immediately because I don't want to know but MUST.  It's also the start of the holiday season when I get back and that means social events with food and lot's of free food floating around the office but if I am straight fat from my honeymoon I'll need to resist because I'll have no choice unless I want to get fatter.

I got another "thin" comment as I was in line getting my free ice cream.  I asked for 1/2 to be the sugar free kind and 1/2 regular.  The lady says, "Oh, you're so thin give her more!"  Ha, ha.  Nice.  It's too bad I wish I was thinner.

  1. :0 jealous. of the free food, and your weight. Have fun with your honeymoon. I didn't worry about what went in for 5 days, and it wasn't too bad. I did get sick from the free ice cream I ate almost everyday. It was so heavenly though.

  2. hah! I wish that i got comments like that, what a confidence boost. I hope you have fun on your honeymoon and don't worry about anything whilst you're on it, just do whatever you want and worry when you get back. Honeymoons only happen once! (hopefully haha) xox

  3. Free food at work is the worst! I have the same problem, I can not seem to say no (unless it's meat, which I don't eat). And they are always having sweet things - especially for meetings.
