119.5: Skinny Mirror

I went to Macy's yesterday to try to find something to wear for my interview.  In all the mirrors there I actually thought I looked skinny.  I went into the dressing room and the mirrors were situated so that I could see my back side and I didn't look fat.  I looked thin and I could see my shoulder blades in my back.  My only conclusion for that one is they must be skinny mirrors.  The store wants you to look flattering so they make them that way.  I was wearing black pants which thins you out too.  I'm going to return the blazer I bought.  I wore it today and that's it.  I don't want to put any money towards that blazer and I'll deal with my lack of interview attire the next time this comes up.  I just went to DSW and bought some $150 boots on my lunch break.  What the hell is wrong with me?  I might end up returning those too.  I bought 3 pairs of shoes a couple weeks ago and some tops.  Aside from those boots the only other thing I want for Fall is some long sleeved shirts.  I can wait on the pumps I want until next year. If you want real leather boots it's gonna cost you at least $100 unless you get fake ones.  Which is why my black boots are not real leather.  It's expensive but in looking online I can't seem to find real leather knee high's for much less.  I did see a pair for $100 at Macy's online I can check out but they MUST be comfortable and I have to like the look.  So, most of them are actually more so I actually got a good deal especially for Guess.  I have a $10 certificate on the way from them so if I decide not to return them then I will just return and re buy so I can use my coupon.  Hopefully they won't give me stink eye for doing that.

There is no way I am going to get either job.  I felt like a babbling idiot in yesterday's interview.  On top of that the hiring manager said the hours are 8-4.  I was hoping for 7-3:30pm.  That's what the other secretaries there work.  There are two people already in the department going for the position I interviewed for today.  I can't imagine I would get it over either one of them.  I feel like I did do better then yesterday though.  I made a point to answer the question and then shut up without going on and on.  I was concise and still managed to come up with something for the answers I didn't know.  The good thing is I like my job, I know what I'm doing and I get to spend hours a day surfing the Internet.  The bad news is that I really need to earn more money and I am going nowhere fast.

As far as my bodily functions are concerned the good news is I can tell I'm peeing a lot more.  The bad news is that I STILL haven't had a bowel movement.  This is day 5.  I am thinking that taking the laxatives might have caused this.  I definitely haven't abused them but it's almost like my body isn't want to do it on it's own right now 'cause it got it all out Sunday or something.  I'm going out to dinner tonight.  It is fine dining and you get to choose from certain entrees.  I am paying 'cause this is my date night and I hate wasting food.  This is $30 per person.  I am going to try my best to go for the healthiest option which is grilled chicken or steak.  If there is bread I only get ONE piece.  As far as portions I will be fine if I just don't eat it all.  I want a take away box but my only problem is that we will be going out after.  I'm not going to hang onto a take out box all night.  Depending on where park I may not be able to walk all the way back to my car to put it away.  I was thinking I could bring a zip lock bag with me and put in in there so I can shove it in my purse but that seems kind of gross.  What to do???  I won't drink at all during dinner so I can drink later when we meet up with friends and will go for short and sweet.  Well not exactly sweet.  But something like Tequila will get me buzzed, not fill me up and is only 100 cals.

  1. Least your getting more confident with the interviews- just look at them as good practice so you can ace the one you really want!
I reckon if you get a box chuck it in the car otherwise just 'forget' it somewhere... less calories.
& Here's hoping your toilet situation gets better!
