If It's Too Good To Be True...

Then it probably is.  I had a "snack dinner" last night.  Hubby was out and so I had 14 fat free Pringles a few tortilla chips and a piece of string cheese and called it dinner.  I am down another .5 today.  While I am happy I have learned to NEVER get too excited.  The moment you do that is the moment you think you can actually eat and then that wonderful number gets blown up.  So, I am really really just wanting to roll with it.  To just keep it up.

The thing is I don't feel like I am doing anything that different then before but my body is responding right now whereas last month it wasn't.  I am hoping this isn't just because I'm off my BC pill for the week-of course last month not even that could help me.  It very well could be the case that the moment I pop that pill on Sunday I will gain a pound overnight.  They say that BC pills don't cause weight gain but over the years I have noticed some changes around that time.  It might just be that it causes water retention but whatever the cause I've seen a pattern and I don't like it.

My hubby is out of town for the weekend for work.  You'd think I'd be used to him being gone considering he was out of the country for a whole year but nope.  I feel a little sad that I won't get to kiss him tonight.  It also means less pressure about food.  Not that he pressures me...but he does expect me to eat regularly.  I like it that I can just eat some pretzels and call it dinner.  I don't have to think about food or prepare food or try to resist food if I don't want to.  Less opportunity for slip ups and more opportunity to restrict if I've overdone it on other nights.

The ex boyfriend is back in the country.  We might get together for a drink tonight or tomorrow. I keep telling myself DO NOT PIG OUT.  DO NOT GET FULL.  IT'S JUST FOOD AND YOU'VE HAD IT ALL BEFORE. DON'T BLOW IT!!! Let's see if I can get myself to actually listen for a change.  And to my body-just keep doing what you are doing and NO RETAINING.  If mind and body sticks to the plan it will be all good.

  1. I had to go off bc for about a month b/c I ran out. As soon as I took the first week of pills my weight spiked! It was water weight, but it still scared the living hell outta me. I think you'll be fine.
