Saturday I went along with hubby for his B.Ball and did my little walk around the neighborhood. I even broke into a run and it felt really good. Whoo hoo! Go me. I got sweaty and felt like I really burned up some calories and got a nice workout in.
I like to weigh myself in private. If hubby is home I listen to make sure he's not coming and step on and off as fast as I can. I do not like for anyone to know how much I weigh. It is always my little secret but Saturday I got busted. The number flashed on the scale and at that moment he walked into the bathroom and looked down. I was so mad. I feel violated that he saw that number. High, low, or in between I simply do not want anyone to know.
We went to an IMAX science center movie in the park after that. It was really cool. Then, walked 40 minutes downtown for dinner which was great on top of the exercise I had already done. Let's just say I earned my dinner. We checked out a few menus before we walked into one restaurant that looked good. I had Filet Mignon Quesadilla and a cocktail. They also put bread and hummus out so I had some of that too. After all of that exercise I did feel that I had earned it but at the same time was very worried that I would undo all of that hard work. In the back of my mind I was saying why oh why can't I just order the chicken skewers? But as usual my taste buds were craving that damn deliciously cheesy Quesadilla so that's what I got.
The next morning I had actually managed to drop 1/2 pound and was really excited about that. I would have been really pissed if after all that running and walking if I had gone up Quesadilla or no Quesadilla. Sunday I had a PBJ in late afternoon and then we went and got our fav Fat free yogurt. I really wanted to eat that for dinner. It would have made for a perfect low cal day and helped me maintain my 1/2 pound loss. Hubby said no so I heated up some left over lasagna and had a very small portion and one dinner roll. Then, we ate our yogurt and then I had a piece of string cheese too right before bed. I went #2 for the second day in a row which was good. I went to bed and hoped for the best. This morning I was back up 1/2 pound which sucked. It could and has been worse though.
I had an awesome weekend with hubby. We have so much fun together. Uggg....back to the weekday grind.
I know exactly what you mean when you write about earning dinner. In my case, I usually ruin everything the second I think I earned some more food. I think you avoided that really good.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you have fun with the hubbby, and I hope he did not mention the number he saw on THE SCALE... I usually weigh myself in private, too, and it would really make me mad if someone saw this, too....
