McDonald's Splurge

I ate way too much bread. Drank way too much wine. I had two pieces of cake. I drank coffee. I basically went crazy at the wedding Saturday night. I could see it coming and to be honest I hardly even cared or thought twice about it while I was doing it. I had so much fun laughing and dancing and drinking and eating the night away. Think I'd had enough? Of course not!

After waking up at a not so terrible considering, 116 Sunday morning and then dropping to 115.5 throughout the day after a much needed #2 I was doing pretty good despite that binge of the night before. That is until hubby decided to give into an age old craving for McD's and I decided to join in. I've been wanting to for years. Just to do it. Just to get that taste of salty french fries and greasy cheeseburgers. To experience that reckless abandon that goes with eating straight junky fast food and loving it. And so I did. And it was delicious. The meal was about 980 calories. It was my only meal for the day. About 2 hours later I was starving. For some odd reason the two cheeseburger meal with Medium french fries and a Diet Coke did nothing to fill me up and I ended up going to bed hungry. Empty [delicious] calories. Bizarre.

It was good and all but eating fast food is not all it's cracked up to be. I am so glad that I have truly discovered this so that I won't pine for something that isn't all that grand to begin with. I'm gonna order a burger here and there in nicer restaurants and if we make them at home or at a bar b q. I will always have a thing for french fries and will likely give into it every now and then but the whole fast food thing. Not so much.

So, today I was a big fat 116.5. Maybe I am so careless because thus far I have always been able to get back down to 115 range even when I screw up. I can still feel the fast food sitting in my gut because of course my body takes forever to pass ANYTHING!!

Tonight for dinner will be a nice healthy sandwich with low fat lunch meat. Hopefully I will be blessed with the gift of a bowel movement tonight. I will eat healthy every night hereafter and ideally loose this pound by Thursday when we have our food tasting for our wedding. It's always something.

  1. Yeah, family functions and McD..... They do not make it to the enemy list, because sometimes I can behave there, but most of the times...
I would not worry, though. You are so used to eating just tiny little portions of low fat stuff, you will go down in no time and just remember the taste.... In fact, it´s not that good, but much fat, which makes it taste better...
    whatever, don´t worry
    :-)
