I guess my body hates me. Or, I hate my body or both. Whatever. All I know is the scale is creeping upwards again and I don't like it one bit.
Last night when I got home from work the scale showed 117!! Mind you I started out the day at a cool 115.5 and ate only my work snacks including the granola bar plus some grapes. That's IT!! What did I do that caused me to be 117 by the end of the work day? So, I was kind of nervous about eating but since I have found in the past that the harder I try often the worse it gets I went ahead with my dinner plan. I had salad with grilled chicken strips on top and a piece of bread. I drank water. I did have a piece of string cheese before bed and that was it. I was too afraid to weight myself after dinner.
I woke up 1/2 pound up from yesterday. Thank goodness I did #2 this morning. Who knows when the next time will be!!
Today is a long day. I don't get home until around 7:30 so I had a reduced fat turkey bacon sandwich from Starbucks in the morning. I will have my work snacks and probably just a sandwich or other such light snacky item for dinner.
A good thing about hubby is that he has days when all he wants is a salad or just a sandwich too so I don't have to fight off meat and potatoes every single night or something. He isn't too pushy about my eating because I do eat. I haven't made my eating into a "thing." Yeah, he does find it odd that I refuse to eat lunch and instead insist on snacks. He knows I am obsessive about my food intake and weight but he sees that I am eating so he's A OK. I just eat less of whatever it is we're having and skip meals here and there if I already had my "one meal" or feel overloaded.
I know for sure that my restricting and tendency to starve would be much greater were he not around. I'd be more free to eat or not to eat. But, I feel I have done pretty well with managing my weight and eating OK with him here.
I totally agree!
ReplyDeleteYou found the perfect balance between not eating and having your hubby around. As long as eating is not an issue you are on the safe side. Don´t worry about the little gain, you will get down in no time. At some days, it just doesn´t make any sence, but that´s why we are biological systems, not machines. We don´t have to make sense...
Take good care.
