So, it's been great having hubby back. It's been a wonderful two days and now I am back at work while he is home chillin'. That's OK because it's just today then I am off for the rest of the week.
Sunday we did nothing except lay around. He was still pretty tired because he got no sleep the night before. For dinner we did get Mexican food. I got two carne asada tacos with cheese and they were delicious. Almost 100% protein except the two corn tortillas so maybe that's why there was no weight gain on the scale? Thank goodness because even as I was eating the 2ND one I felt like such a pig and when my belly started to feel full I was like "oh no." I really could have been fine with just the one because it was a lot of meat. I have to be better then that next time around. I am just going to have to be careful now in general especially now that I have someone i'll be eating with regularly. It's far too easy to get caught up in that "group eating" mode where you eat more because you are not alone and because of what someone else is eating.
It was so wonderful not to sleep alone!! Monday he unpacked his stuff. I have gone to great lengths reorganize and get rid of stuff to try to make space for him in my small studio. We found a place for everything but he's still got some stuff at my parents house. We didn't do anything until later when he decided he wanted to go to the mall to pick something up and to cook spaghetti for dinner. So, off we went to the mall where he told me I had to go away because he was getting something for me. I already told him he wasn't allowed to spend more then $50 on me for Anniversary and then $50 max for Christmas but I have this feeling that he broke the rules.
Off to the grocery store to shop for dinner. He is definitely the better cook. He knows exactly what ingredients to buy whereas I am clueless. We get to my house and I am reminded of how ill equipped my kitchen is to actually cook a meal. First, the garbage disposal has been broken for about 4 months and the kitchen light has been out for longer then that. Its hardly mattered for me because I don't spend too much time in there. Also, I have very limited pots, pans, various kitchen utensils and ingredients. He'll ask me if I have a bigger pot and I'm like, "I don't know.....let me look." As if it's not my house. I don't even know what I have. It doesn't take a pot or require too much visibility to make a pbj sandwich or microwave soup or a weight watchers meal. So, it was kind of difficult cooking and trying to wash dishes with just the oven light but we made it work.
We drank wine while we cooked. I was buzzed off 1/2 glass. I was in the bathroom and when I came out he had already fixed my plate. I made the bread and I cut my pieces very small but it looked like a lot of spaghetti. I started to get full so I asked him if he would eat the rest of mine since he was going for seconds anyhow. Nope he says. I have to finish at least half of what's left on my plate. So, I do.
I'm feeling OK because that was my only actual meal for the day and as far as I'm concerned I've gotten some exercise by way of sex!! I asked him if I looked the same as he remembers and he said that I did but later he said "you lost weight." He knows that I am real tight lipped about my weight so he already knew that I wouldn't say for sure one way or the other. On the one hand you do want your man to notice because that is proof that you look slimmer but on the other hand it could be a bad thing if it gives them a reason to wonder and possible watch what you are eating more.
My jeans are sagging in the butt. My work pants are hanging off of me. I'm not buying smaller sizes though because I don't want to spend the money. I was supposed to be satisfied with the sizes that I had. I never really and truly planned to loose all of this weight again and I don't know how permanent it is. My period was last week and so this is normally the week when my weight starts creeping back up. Unless I can manage to stop it this time.
