- My wonderful husband is home.
- I have my health.
- I have a job that allows me to keep a roof over my head.
- I have a great family that loves me.
- I have some good friends.
- I am also very thankful for this blogger world. Writing is therapy for me and something that I have always done and would be doing anyways because it helps me cope. The support of people who understand has really been an added bonus for me here.
There are so many more important things to be concerned about and it feels ever so shallow saying that I am thankful to be 113 pounds today, but there it is. I am. Still can't figure out why numbers on the scale mean so much to me. Yesterday hubby went and met some friends for a late dinner and drink. I was supposed to go but I backed out at the last minute because it was only going to be guys and I felt kind of strange going along. I think his friend really just wanted to see him. So, I stayed behind but what it did do is let me miss out on a food event which I was glad about. I stayed home and ate 2 left over mozzarella sticks, string cheese, pecan twirl, and a 1/2 cup of light ice cream. Then, I felt like I overdid it but because I am 113 today I know I didn't.
Earlier that day Hubby had made me a 1/2 ham sandwich and an apple for lunch. He just went in the kitchen and brought it out. Very sweet. It was a reasonable meal on top of some left over salad from the night before. It was very strange to have food brought to me that I hadn't planned out and decided on myself. I started to freak out a little in my head and calculate and then I was like, there is nothing to be worried about. It's a 1/2 sandwich and and apple for goodness sake!! Whatever!!
So, today I am going to mom's and I am going to have some things I want to eat but my goal is just not to over do it. It's just one day. I can have a little bit of some things I want and still be Ok. I don't want to think about every thing I put in my mouth but I know I probably will. I will only have regrets if I pig out and eat too much so I will try to avoid that. I just want to hang out with my parents and family and just enjoy the day.
Take care everyone. And remember that no matter how bad it seems there is usually SOMETHING to be Thankful for.
