They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results. Well call me insane then. I'm just not ready to eat 1,300 calories a day. I'm just not. There are days that I might hit 1300 but that is never the goal. Part of me is convinced that my metabolism is screwed up and the other part of me feels like I had been eating way too much to actually destroy a metabolism. Isn't that how I got in this situation in the first place? Too much food. I've discovered Tofu. It's going to be my new favorite food. Low calorie, low fat, zero sodium, high protein, low carb and very clean. The perfect food. I made it last night with veggies and Teriyaki sauce and it was pretty delicious and filling. I could have included more vegetables.

Today I plan to eat almost exactly the same thing as I did yesterday. After yesterday's weigh in I needed a day as close to clean as I get when I'm juicing but without juicing. Mostly fruits and veggies. I wanted to eliminate as much dairy and even chicken and "other" stuff as I could to see what it is that might be causing me problems. Monday was bad with the two Donuts but Tuesday was okay and and then Wednesday was even better.
I'm going to shoot for lower fat days then I have been which means giving up a lot of my beloved cheese. Instead of Fat/Carbs/Protein at 30/40/30 I'm going to shoot for closer to 25/50/25 with the bulk of my carb being "good" carbs like fruits/veggies/whole wheat's. Yesterday's weight was the highest EVER! It's really disgusting and even though I think I was retaining a lot of water I felt so awful all day about it. My goal is to truly stick with this until hubby leaves next month. That will be my first goal. Then, to continue it until he gets back. It's so much easier to focus and eat what I need to eat without him around but I don't want to wait until he leaves because I have a feeling this is going to take a long time. If it works at all. I'm going to be eating Tofu and egg whites like they are going out of style and stay away from meat and cheese as much as possible. I'll get my protein from the egg whites and tofu instead and load up on fruits and veggies. I'm almost done with the level 3 of shred. After that I will go back to doing more cardio but I'm definitely going to continue working in the 30DS because I really like it. I also want to mix in some of my power Yoga and Pilates videos. Some of which I bought last year but haven't even tried out yet.
I just can't quit. I don't know why, even though I want to so badly.

I'm thinking your fibroid's have a lot to do with what's going on. Have you thought more about the surgery?
ReplyDeleteYou aren't eating a lot and although I get why you don't want to eat more I do think that having a few higher days in there might make a difference. I plateaued at 112 and then had a few days where I went hog wild. I went up in weight the next few days after but then ultimately I went back down to 107. (of course I then had vacation which I'm still trying to sort myself out from, so I'm back in the 112's 113's --but that's a different story). I really like the clean eating and want to get back to doing that too. I am eating like crap. Nothing all day but coffee & soda and then dinner/snacks. Not good.
What if you did higher days with more of clean eating? Like add an additional salad plus the tofu stir fry dinner? Or, something else healthy that has all the good nutrients like steamed broccoli with a light dressing?

I love tofu, your meal looks delicious! I feel the same way about meat and dairy, you should look up vegan information, they're so easy to replace. I'm not vegan but I love eating vegetable based foods. You should watch the movie forks over knives. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteVegetarian is the way to be! It's the perfect excuse to just not have to eat certain foods ever! There's other reasons too of course ;)
ReplyDeleteThat meal looks wonderful (& colorful!). I wish I liked tofu, but it just doesn't appeal to my taste. :/
ReplyDeleteI'm not technically vegan or vegetarian, but I do eat a lot of produce, and it always makes me feel better in my body, and more nourished. Keep exploring!
