I went to dinner with the family on Saturday night and did pretty good by ordering salad bar. I went back for seconds. My sister's willpower is usually pretty low and accordingly she couldn't resist ordering a giant burger with french fries. I had a bite. I gained. Sunday night I went out to Pizza with hubby. Pizza is my all time favorite food. It's just perfect. So, even though I worked out in the morning and then pigged out in the afternoon I have no regrets. It was so worth it!! Especially since I didn't gain. I certainly didn't lose any but at least I didn't gain anymore.
Well, even if nothing else is going right I can't say I'm not killing it in the gym. Four days straight I have done 60 minutes on the elliptical really, really pushing myself to go as hard as I could. I must say it felt good. I had my music going and I was actually enjoying and not dreading it. I'm so glad that I somehow found my motivation to commit to working out and stick to it. I'm so LUCKY I am able bodied enough to work out. Some aren't so fortunate. It's one thing to be lazy and not exercise and entirely another to be unable to exercise. I should never take it for granted. Hopefully, I can stick with this mindset and keep it up. No, I don't necessarily anticipate doing hard core cardio four days in a row every week but I have been consistent with getting my work outs in all last year and into this one and that is what is most important. I guess I can at least give myself some credit for that.
Sunday I burned 590 calories, Monday I burned 601, Tuesday 600, and this morning I did 650!!! Yep, I dragged myself out of bed before work so I could get in one more sweat session before my hair appointment. I tried this energy powder that hubby is using that I will probably never use again because it made me feel like a crack head. It was scary. I got pins and needles in my face, arms and legs. I think it did help my energy level though because when my time was up I actually didn't notice at first and felt like I could go on forever. I did one scoop which was probably too much for my body because it's the same amount hubby uses. I probably only needed 1/2 that.
I've cooked a couple times and am starting to get in the swing of eating actual dinners again because I've kind of had no choice. I had to step up and cook and participate in the whole mealtime ritual because it's the right thing to do and hubby is onto me. I still get away with what I can though. One day he was working out during dinner time so I literally put on my plate and heated up just a couple bites of food. He actually noticed later and was wondering why there was still so much left. Anyhow, it's just really hard for me to transition to the whole balanced meal thing but once I accept it and get used to it then it does get better. I will still use every opportunity I can to get by without a real dinner though. Tonight and Thursday are my dinner free nights 'cause he won't be home.
I dropped from 116 to 114.5 overnight but I think it's just because of the super heavy cardio (which I'm done with for the week) and a massive BM (which I can't always count on). This type of loss is so not typical for me even under the best of scenario's so I don't expect it to stick. I know how quickly things can turn. I do feel like I've been peeing more often and I'm wondering it's because I had to use my old BC pills. I didn't order my new set in time so I had to use an old pack. The trade off is that my stomach feels rounder more of the time. At least I think so. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's in your head and what is real.
Finally just about done with work. I can't wait to watch Dance Mom's tonight.
Awesome job with the cardio workouts! You're turning into a cardio queen :)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you eat at night (if anything) in place of a normal dinner?
omg I've taken crack head energy workout stuff before and I regret it most of the time. I've tried super pump, and oxy elite pro and they both made me bug out. the oxy elite is a capsule so it's hard to take 1/2 of one, but I would open that shit and dump 1/2 out cuz I HATE getting jittery like that. still made me jittery. One that I loved and I would totally take again is quick trim. I actually have a practically brand new bottle.... I should take that I DEF need a boost in the motivation department!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are becoming a workout machine ^^ I remember when you were talking about not doing more than one workout tops hehe
ReplyDeleteKeep going love - the weight will go down :)
Pizza is really good and hard to resist. Love your header picture by the way, beautiful girls.

Wow, your weight may be staying the same, but all the cardio must be doing wonders for your shape! It's not all about the scale, anyhow, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog. I know, I totally have been feeling like the crappiest, most absentee mother ever. My part-time work is horrible though - I would rather do full-tim because it would be regular hours and less stress for me running around. Right now I have about 4 part-time things I do, and it's remarkably stressful trying to plan around them all and find babysitters as well.
But on the bright side, at least I don't have a hubby to try to please on top of all that! The one good thing about single parenting. ;)
