I Knew This Would Happen

It was too good to be true.  That's what I figured so I'm not going to get too worked up about it.  At least not until my weight exceeds where I was at on my last plateau.  Now then I will be angry.  I'm still sticking to 800 cals or so on most days and I am going to continue to get in some exercise.  I'm not going to kill  myself sweating in the gym 5 days a week to keep the numbers that low.  I'm just not.  Maybe I just don't want it bad enough.  I just know that I could never realistically sustain such a regime so there is no point.  I actually feel better now that the number has gone up ONLY because I knew it wasn't my real weight.  I really didn't need that fake out.  Going that low that fast totally set myself up for failure and while I liked it I was uncomfortable with it because I knew that it couldn't be real.  I KNEW this would happen.  There is no way in hell this could be that easy for me.  I would much rather loose slowly even though that sucks sometimes then loose rapidly then have it not last.  They say slow and steady is the best way because it's lasting and real.  That's what I need.

Yesterday I had my yogurt and fiber one in the morning and drank lots of water.   Then I ate pretzels as a snack and drank lots of water.   Dinner was a Turkey Burger and Baked beans finishing the day off at 856 cals.  I even got some exercise in at home.  I was good.  I KNOW I haven't done anything different then when the numbers were dropping dramatically.  That week I did get in two 500-600 calorie work outs but aside from not being on the pill that week nothing had changed.  I'm back on my BC after a week off  now.  Stupid Yasmin.  I switched to it because it's actually supposed to be a diuretic even.  Not for me apparently.  I'm not ready to give up.  I am still in a comfortable range progress wise from where I started but I can't help but feel a little bit like a fat failure because of how rapidly the numbers went back up.  This week really could be my undoing even if I do everything right.   At least I'm still regular.

Today I had my yogurt and Fiber1 for breakfast.  I'm drinking water.  I've been so thirsty over the weekend for some reason and I'm trying to stop being afraid of drinking water so I've been just drinking it up.  It's been a fabulous and warm weekend.  Hubby and I are going to happy hour at a Mexican restaurant around 3pm.  It's nice and early so I can eat and then have time for it to burn off before bed.  I can even fit in a panic work out if I need to.  I won't be eating anything else.

  1. Hi hun!
Slow and steady IS the way to go...but I think we get so caught up in seeing the numbers go down fast that we don't really consider the benefits of "slow and steady."

I'd suggest you to take a look at your stats and SEE how EXCELLENT you're been doing, despite your feelings regarding this post. You're doing phenomenal but no one said we needed to lose weight as FAST as possible (it's just so rewarding if it happens like that) but as low as possible while keeping our sanity!

You're still my idol :P and u put me back on track!

    <3 Enjoy today - Fiesta!

  2. Agreed, slow and steady. I've been trying to get into that mindset myself, which means developing semi-comfort with my weight where it is. Not easy by any means, but I know it's better in the long run to live a healthier lifestyle that I can maintain, rather than starving myself and bingeing all the weight back on.

You're doing so well, don't lose sight of that fact. And whether you belive it or not, you have a gorgeous body that soooo many people would die for.

Enjoy the Mexican tonight! Mmm... one of my favorite types of food.

  3. You definitely have the right mindset. If you keep going as your going, even without the working out, you WILL reach your goal.

  5. Slow and steady is right. Totally the way to go, but sometimes I start panicking if I get too impatient if it's not drastic enough. got to keep my head on straight haha. <3RaeLynn
